CAPITAL FOOTBALL ANNOUNCE 2018 TSP COACHES

In January 2018 Capital Football will begin implementation of the new Talent Support Program (TSP), following successful introduction in a number of other states.

TSP is a program recommended by FFA to supplement the training of our elite youth male players, where players will train and play with their club (twice weekly training plus game) primarily, but also with Capital Football.

The squads will also play friendly games as a playing group (mainly in the off-season), the first of which will be against Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday, February 10th at AIS.

Capital Football can also today announce the coaches for the first year of the program, with plenty of experience shared across the coaches of all age groups.

U13: Ali Reza Efe: UEFA A License, and has extensive youth coaching experience in Turkey

U14: Bernie To: Current CUA U/14’s Head Coach

U15: Scott O’Donell: Capital Football Technical Director, AFC & FIFA Instructor, Former Cambodian National team Head Coach

U17: Ron Smith: Former AIS Head Coach, former Socceroo staff coach, former Chief Scout for Nike’s ‘The Chance’, Former Perth Glory Head Coach

The vast experience possessed by all members of the coaching team is a big boost for youth development, and Capital Football CEO Phil Brown said that the benefits to players involved in the program would be immense.

“We are proud to have gathered such an experienced group of coaches to work in our TSP,” Brown said.

“The ACT’s young male players will benefit greatly from the TSP concept, being able to play and train with their NPL clubs while also learning from coaches with an abundance of football knowledge and experience.”
